According to the Zhitong Finance App, Jiashili Group (01285) announced its annual results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of 1,686 billion yuan (RMB, same below), a year-on-year decrease of 4.41%: profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 63.918 million, a year-on-year decrease of 1.09%; basic profit per share is 15.4 points; and plans to pay a final dividend of HK$0.1 per share.
According to the announcement, the overall increase in gross margin was mainly due to lower costs of raw materials (especially palm oil and flour). In 2023, gross profit was approximately 503 million yuan (2022: approximately 462 million yuan), an increase of 8.8% over the previous year. Gross margin rose to 29.8% in 2023 (2022:26.2%), up 3.6 percentage points from last year. The increase in gross profit and gross margin was due to lower procurement costs for the Group's raw materials (mainly palm oil). In 2023, the procurement costs of palm oil and flour decreased by about 25.7% and 1.4% compared to the previous year's average. The Group will further adopt strict measures and controls to keep production and manufacturing costs competitive.
