Singapore shares were up on Friday, owing to strong financial earnings by companies and overnight gains in the Wall Street.
During the day, the benchmark Singapore Strait Times Index ranged between 3,276.79 and 3,297.37, ending 0.76% or 24.75 points higher at 3,290.70.
In company news, Intraco's (SGX:I06) shares surged over 22% after the company booked a net profit of SG$140,000 in the first quarter ended March 31, 2024.
Shares of Creative Technology (SGX:C76) were up over 9% after the company unveiled its latest audio profile, Super X-Fi Gen4.
Meanwhile, Fraser and Neave (SGX:F99) was up nearly 6% after the company posted a nearly 53% jump in profit attributable to owners in the fiscal first half, owing to higher revenue from its beverage and dairy businesses.
