According to reports, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has invested in more than 400 companies, with a share value of at least 2.8 billion US dollars.

As CEO of OpenAI, Altman does not hold shares in OpenAI, and his annual salary at the company is about 65,000 US dollars. However, reports suggest that Altman's net worth recently exceeded 2 billion US dollars.

Although he does not hold shares in OpenAI, Altman is one of the most prolific individual investors in Silicon Valley. Today's report indicates that he has invested in more than 400 companies, and as of the beginning of this year, his stake in these companies is worth at least 2.8 billion US dollars.

Reportedly, companies invested in by Altman include payment company Stripe, short-term rental platform Airbnb, social news forum Reddit, and Musk's brain-computer interface company Neuralink.

Regulatory filings show that Altman's traceable net assets consist mainly of three parts: venture capital fund projects, listed projects of invested companies, and estimated investment return projects. Most of the assets come from investments in a series of venture capital funds, totaling up to 1.2 billion US dollars.

In addition, according to information on the Apollo Projects website, Altman has 434 million US dollars in funds for the project, mainly for investing in a "lunar program" project. Apollo Projects is a venture capital company co-founded by Altman and his brothers, aimed at investing in innovative projects with potential.

Last month, Altman announced his participation in the "Giving Pledge" initiative and pledged to donate most of his wealth to charities in the future. Altman is the latest billionaire to join the Giving Pledge and said, "Many people have worked hard, using their talents, generosity, and dedication to make the world a better place, forming the backbone of society and enabling us to get to where we are today. All we can do is be grateful and give back to society."
