On the 5th, TOKAI Holdings <3167> announced that its consolidated subsidiary, Tokai Gas, conducted a cleaning activity on May 25th, 2024 at Ishizuhamabe Disaster Prevention Forest and surrounding beaches in Yaizu City with a total of 253 participants, including students and staff of Yaizu Fisheries High School, the company's customers, and employees.
This activity, which started in September 2003, is in its 19th year and was held for the first time in five years, due to the transition to coronavirus infection control Level 5. The coastal disaster prevention forest planted at Ishizu Beach is an important part of the local area as it can help reduce the damage caused by sand, wind, and tsunami, and the collection of undergrowth, fallen leaves, and pine needles is necessary work to foster the planted pine trees. On this day, 845 bags (90 liters each) of garbage were collected.
Additionally, on the same day, students from the diving club at Yaizu Fisheries High School conducted an underwater cleaning activity and collected lures and fishing lines that were left on the seabed.
