According to the Futubull Finance APP, benefiting from the recovery of the Hong Kong retail market and the popularity of outbound travel, BOC Hong Kong (02388) stated that its credit card business continues to grow steadily, with the total spending in the first quarter of this year reaching a new quarterly historical high. To let customers experience the joy of travel, BOC Hong Kong launched a limited travel theme at its Whampoa Garden branch and held a lucky draw, giving out rewards such as up to 500,000 miles and dining experiences.
Mr. Ho Wai Man, Deputy General Manager of BOC Credit Card (International), said that with the steady recovery of the Hong Kong economy, the willingness of Hong Kong citizens to travel has been further stimulated. In the first quarter of this year, the total miles redeemed by the bank's customers with credit card points increased by nearly 70% year-on-year, and the first-quarter overseas spending on the BOC Cheers Card, specially designed for travel enthusiasts, also increased by nearly 50% year-on-year, indicating a significant increase in travel consumption.
He continued to say that in order to cater to the boom of travel consumption and celebrate the first anniversary of the BOC Cheers Card, the bank has arranged its branches at the Hong Kong Airport and set up exclusive "check-in" positions to create a joyful tourism atmosphere, providing customers a new and refreshed service experience.
