South Korea's Bureau of Statistics announced that South Korean employment rose by 8 million in May to 2,891.5 million, an increase of more than a three-year low. The unemployment rate was 3% in May and 2.7% in the same period last year.
Labour participation was 65.4% in May, up 0.1 percentage points from the same period last year.
