At GMO Internet Group, GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market: Securities code 3769, Representative Director and President: Kazunari Okawa) which develops comprehensive payment-related services and financial-related services, launched a welfare service that allows employees to charge a portion of the calculated amount according to their working record to digital money anytime they want.(※1)Starting from April 22, 2024 (Monday), this welfare service is now available to Pan Pacific International Holdings Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and CEO: Naoki Yoshida, hereinafter referred to as PPIH) group employees, and they can now charge a portion of the calculated amount according to their working records to PPIH group's original electronic money "majica".
The charged amount will be deducted from the salary later. (※1) With a maximum amount limit.
Background and Overview
As the working style of employees and the employment form of companies have become more diversified in recent years, high flexibility is required in terms of the timing of salary payment. While the working population is decreasing due to the declining birthrate and ageing population, responding to the needs of employees has become one of the measures for companies to secure personnel.
Since 2021, GMO-PG has been providing a service that allows flexible use of the equivalent amount of salary at any time, and the recent number of implementing companies has exceeded 6,000. This time, in addition to the conventional "bank transfer to bank account," a welfare service has been added that allows employees to charge a portion of the calculated amount according to their working record to the company's original digital money at any time they want.
Starting to provide to PPIH, which has the core business format of the comprehensive discount store "Don Quijote," and as the source of growth is "Adaptability to Changes," PPIH, which shows various prompt responses to market changes, has now started the service. Employees of the 13 companies in the group can now receive a portion of the calculated amount according to their working record by "bank transfer to bank account" or charging to "majica" at their own desired timing. (※2)PPIH has institutionalized it as a new welfare service menu, and provides more advantageous points to employees than usual to promote the use of majica within the PPIH group and improve employee satisfaction (ES). (※2) The timing of when majica will be charged to PPIH group employees is immediate or on the date designated by PPIH.
