Investors may wish to note that the Chief Financial Officer of Eventbrite, Inc., Charles Baker, recently netted US$99k from selling stock, receiving an average price of US$4.93. On the bright side, that's just a small sale and only reduced their holding by 7.0%.

Eventbrite Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Chief Technology Officer, Vivek Sagi, sold US$1.1m worth of shares at a price of US$11.24 per share. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is US$4.81. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Eventbrite insiders own about US$23m worth of shares. That equates to 4.9% of the company. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.
