On June 20th, Geely Holdings reported that China National Automotive Foreign Trade Group Corporation (301215.SZ) has a smart connected autos testing ground in the Yangtze River Delta (Yancheng), which includes nine smart connected auto testing roads: the intelligent connected communication road, intelligent connected multi-lane performance road, intelligent connected city block, intelligent connected elevated interchange, intelligent connected tunnel, intelligent connected multifunctional flexible plaza, intelligent connected high-speed ring road, intelligent connected reliability test road, and intelligent connected off-road test road. The testing mileage exceeds 40 km and the "cloud", "edge", and "end" architecture is deployed on certain roads, along with V2X equipment and cloud control platform, to meet various closed test scenarios such as intelligent networked-vehicle assisted driving, autonomous driving functionality, and car-road collaboration. It also meets the performance and reliability research and development test requirements of heavy-duty commercial vehicles with a maximum total quality of 49 tons. Specific examples of feasible tests include: the intelligent connected tunnel can perform automatic driving function verification tests for intelligent networked vehicles with weak cellular signals and no positioning signals, including experiments such as straight and curved driving and ramp diversion/merger; the intelligent connected multi-lane performance road can perform testing for lane identification, lane change and automatic emergency braking for intelligent networked vehicles, and commercial vehicle power, economy and other public tests, as well as evaluation tests for stability.
