Cathay Edu (01981) announced that after the special resolution was passed at the shareholder special meeting held on April 10, 2024, the Registrar of Companies in the Cayman Islands issued a name change registration certificate on April 23, 2024, confirming that the company's English name was changed from "Cathay Media and Education Group Inc." to "Cathay Group Holdings Inc.", and the company's dual foreign names were changed from "Cathay Edu Group" to "Cathay Holdings Group Limited".
On May 22, 2024, the Chief Registrar of Companies in Hong Kong issued a certificate of registration for the change of name of a non-Hong Kong company, confirming that the company's new English and Chinese names are registered in Hong Kong in accordance with section 16 of Chapter 622 of the Companies Ordinance of Hong Kong.
The Chinese and English stock abbreviations of the company's securities traded on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will be changed from 'CATHAY EDU' to 'CATHAY GP HLDGS' and from '华夏视听教育' to '华夏控股', respectively, and will take effect from 9:00am on June 28, 2024. The stock code of the company will remain unchanged as '1981'.
