Zijin Mining Group (02899.HK) announced that according to the evaluation opinions of mineral resource supervisory authorities, the total newly-recorded copper metal resources of Tibet Julong Copper Mine and Heilongjiang Tongshan Copper Mine under the company have reached 18.377 million tons, including 5.777 million tons of newly-recorded copper metal reserves, accounting for 14.2% of China's copper reserves at the end of 2022 (according to the "China Mineral Resource Report 2023" disclosed by the Ministry of Natural Resources, China's copper reserves in 2022 were 40.7718 million tons), marking the company's significant achievement in the new round of mineral exploration strategy in China.

The company's research and design units are planning to implement the third phase of the project after completing the construction of the second phase of the Julong Copper Mine. If the project is approved by the relevant government departments, the final elevation for mining in the third phase will be reduced from 4,452 meters in the second phase to 4,090 meters, with total copper reserves exceeding 20 million tons within the domain. In addition to the newly-added copper metal resources mentioned above, Tongshan Copper Mine has also added 130,000 tons of associated molybdenum metal, 55 tons of gold metal, and 1,104 tons of silver metal.
