SG Moving Co., Ltd., which provides added value of "transportation + α" with a focus on the installation, transportation, and relocation of large furniture and appliances in the SG Holdings Group, will participate in the commercial vehicle shared charging station demonstration experiment that ENEOS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Atsushi Yamaguchi) will start on July 2, 2024 (Tuesday) and is available for EV trucks.
EV trucks are actually operating in the Tokyo area.
This initiative starts the demonstration experiment of a shared charging station for commercial vehicles, which can also be used for EV trucks, at "Shin-Kiba TS" (Koto-ku, Tokyo) operated by ENEOS Wing Co., Ltd. (head office: Naka-ku, Nagoya, President: Kazuhiro Oishi). It is the first time in Japan to install a shared charging station that can be used by EV trucks with a total length of up to 10 meters, to address the various problems faced by the logistics industry, such as "time restrictions due to long charging times", "investment burden on charging infrastructure", "constraints on installation space for basic charging stations", and "insufficient route charging for EV trucks", and to contribute to the expansion of EV trucks through joint implementation and experimentation by the logistics industry.
The shared charging station is equipped with a high-power charger with two plugs and a maximum output of 90 kW, which can rapidly charge one large vehicle or two small vehicles with a total length of 5 meters or less at the same time. Furthermore, by using a reservation system that can be accepted from tablet terminals or PCs, waiting time caused by overlapping charging times with other vehicles can be prevented.
