According to reports, French pharmaceutical company Sanofi is about to decide to invest 1.3 billion to 1.5 billion euros (about 1.4 billion to 1.6 billion US dollars) in a large production base in Frankfurt, Germany to produce insulin brand Lantus.
The report quoted sources from the German government, saying that Sanofi changed its mind after initially considering moving Lantus production to France and is now close to committing to upgrading its factory in Frankfurt's Hess district in Germany.
