In terms of news, Eve Energy Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary EBIL holds 30.98% of the shares of Smoore Intl and plans to reduce its holdings by no more than 3.5% through bulk trading within the next year. Based on the closing price of Smoore Intl at HKD 9.47 per share on June 28, Eve Energy Co., Ltd. may cash out approximately HKD 2.036 billion with this reduction. The reduction is aimed at optimizing asset structure, enhancing market cap management, and supporting R&D investment.
It is worth noting that this is already the third time that Eve Energy Co., Ltd. has proposed a reduction plan for its holdings in Smoore Intl, with the previous two plans also aiming to reduce its ownership by 3.5%, but were not actually implemented. If Eve Energy Co., Ltd. completes the reduction of the above-mentioned 3.5% stake, it will no longer be the controlling shareholder of Smoore Intl.
