Osaka Gas Co., Ltd.
Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Masataka Fujihara) has signed a contract with the Japan World Exposition 2025 Association (the "Expo Association"), for the "Carbon Neutral Gas Procurement Business for use at the 2025 Japan World Exposition (the "Osaka-Kansai Expo")"*1.
In addition, we plan to procure environmental value from other domestic projectors who produce multiple e-methanes (hereinafter referred to as "e-methane") and biomethane.
As a result, we will supply carbon-neutral gas*2 to the Osaka-Kansai Expo venue from September 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025. In addition, we will also manufacture and supply e-methane through an e-methane manufacturing verification project*3 at the Osaka-Kansai Expo venue.
Through these initiatives, we will contribute to the realization of the Expo Association's "EXPO2025 Green Vision".
The Green Innovation Fund project is a fund project of about 2.8 trillion yen created to aim for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, to accelerate innovation through structural changes in the energy and industrial sectors, and through bold investments.
