Shanshan (600884.SH) announced its performance forecast for the first half of 2024, expecting a net income of 15 to 22.5 million yuan attributable to shareholders of the listed company, a decrease of 990.59 to 998.09 million yuan compared to the same period of the previous year (statutory disclosed data), a year-on-year decrease of 97.78% to 98.52%.
It is expected that the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company, deducted from non-recurring gains and losses, will be 16.5 to 24.75 million yuan in the first half of 2024, a decrease of 563.06 to 571.31 million yuan compared to the same period of the previous year (statutory disclosed data), a year-on-year decrease of 95.79% to 97.19%.
During the reporting period, the company's core business of anode material and polarizer is still in the industry adjustment period, and product prices are under continuous pressure. The industry's profitability has decreased year-on-year. Affected by changes in industry prosperity, the net income of anode material and polarizer business has decreased year-on-year. In addition, the company continues to promote focus strategy and dispose of non-core business as well as make impairment provision for relevant assets which has an adverse impact on the company's performance. Meanwhile, the company sold a part of the equity of electrolyte business in the same period last year, confirming an investment income of approximately 0.244 billion yuan, while there is no corresponding investment income for this business in this period.
