I would like to inform you that Sagawa Express Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “our company”) of the SG Holdings Group has concluded a “comprehensive partnership agreement” with Kumamoto Prefecture (Governor: Kimura Takashi) to improve prefectural services and revitalize the region, and a signing ceremony was held at the Kumamoto Prefectural Office on 7/9.
1. Background
As a company responsible for logistics, which is one of the social infrastructures, we are actively working on activities aimed at revitalizing regional economies and realizing a sustainable society by utilizing our resources and know-how. As part of this, we are developing “SAGAWA Town Support*,” where the public and private sectors work together to tackle regional issues, to local governments nationwide.
As support for SAGAWA Town, we are promoting “empty-handed tourism,” which aims at convenience for tourists and business customers, and “cargo and passenger consolidation businesses,” which are expected to be effective in maintaining transportation infrastructure, improving logistics efficiency, and reducing environmental impact. We are also carrying out activities that contribute to the safety and security of the region, such as monitoring activities for children and the elderly, and transportation support for goods in the event of a disaster.
Taking advantage of the conclusion of this agreement, we will effectively utilize the resources and know-how of both parties and work to resolve and improve social issues with the aim of creating diverse services and creating sustainable and livable communities and revitalizing the region.

◎ To commemorate the conclusion of this comprehensive partnership agreement, we created a local cardboard (L size) featuring an illustration of Kumamoto Prefecture's PR character “Kumamon” and Kumamoto Castle. It will be sold at sales offices and delivery counters in Kumamoto Prefecture from 7/11.
