MediaSea<4824> announced that it has added the "GS1 Data Bar Limited Type Synthesized Symbol-CC-A/Two-layered Type Synthesized Symbol-CC-A", which is used in the pharmaceutical industry, as a target barcode for its proprietary barcode reader engine "CamReader".
While "CamReader" already supported "GS1 Data Bar Limited Type," "GS1 Data Bar Two-layered Type," and "GS1-128(CODE128)," the new update now enables it to support all barcodes used in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, including "GS1 Data Bar Limited Type Synthesized Symbol-CC-A" and "GS1 Data Bar Two-layered Type Synthesized Symbol-CC-A".
These barcodes can be read with a dedicated scanner, but in fields such as medical and logistics, there is a movement to replace dedicated scanners with smartphones and apps. The development of "CamReader" with these added features is designed with this movement in mind and will allow it to be used for expanding business systems, particularly for inventory management of pharmaceuticals in the medical field.
