However, this call was questioned by many netizens. Some netizens commented that Yu has never denied rumors for Yuhui, and he even mentioned him when denying for others. Some also reflected that their comments were deleted, feeling that Yu Minhong's post was full of fatherhood.

To some extent, the relationship between Yu Minhong and netizens has turned in the opposite direction, causing him to close the comments on Douyin. Traffic is a double-edged sword. In fact, the problems exposed by Dongfang Zhenxuan are not life-threatening major issues, and anchor's slip of tongue belongs to the business category. The expression of dissatisfaction by the anchors reflects a company management issue. These problems can be solved through internal management, but Yu Minhong’s focus is on netizens’ comments.

Yu Minhong's role is more like a teacher. This role recognition makes him see the company's employees as students and wants to protect them.

He stated in his post that the development of Dongfang Zhenxuan and his peers is a proof of the hard work of young people such as Yuhui, Dunde, Mingming, and Yoyo, but unfortunately, in this development process, he did not protect these children well and allowed them to be exposed to public opinion frequently.

The current situation is definitely not what Yu Minhong wants to see. He has been trying to bring Dongfang Zhenxuan on track and get rid of its dependence on individual anchors. In fact, his series of actions to remove Dong from the CEO position during the "Small Composition" incident have already shown his position.

In terms of self-operated products, according to data released in June, East Buy's self-operated products had a GMV of over 3.6 billion yuan from December 2023 to May 2024, a year-on-year increase of 108% and a month-on-month increase of 74%. Currently, East Buy has over 400 self-operated products, with 260 products on sale during the same period.

Since starting New Oriental from scratch, Yu Minhong has experienced many ups and downs in his life. At its peak, he led New Oriental to go public in the United States, making it the first education institution to be listed in the US and also trained many outstanding teachers. Such experiences have made him a respected teacher.

However, the factors that made New Oriental successful are obviously not suitable for East Buy. Teaching students and selling to the public are completely different tracks, and Yu Minhong obviously prefers the former.
