On the news front, Sunny Optical recently announced that the June shipment volume of mobile phone lenses was about 0.109 billion pieces, an increase of 5.1% MoM and 19.6% YoY; the shipment volume of car lenses was 7.64 million pieces, a decrease of 8.4% MoM and an increase of 3.4% YoY. The shipment volume of mobile phone camera modules was 41.622 million pieces, a decrease of 8.5% MoM and 20.2% YoY.
Goldman Sachs believes that the shipment volumes of Sunny's mobile phone lenses, mobile phone camera modules, and car lenses last month are roughly in line with expectations. CITIC Lyon pointed out that Sunny Optical's performance in the first half of this year was steady. The shipment volume of its major mobile and car products was stable. More importantly, the product structure and gross margin of its smartphone camera module business, which has a high sensitivity to profit, have improved. The bank expects a net profit of RMB 1.03 billion for the first half of the year.
