Fanuc America Corporation (Fanuc America), a subsidiary of Fanuc Corporation, has completed construction of its new West Campus in Auburn Hills, Michigan as a new base in the United States, and held an opening ceremony on July 10th, 2019. West Campus, the next US base after Fanuc America headquarters, Chicago, and North Campus, is part of a strategic investment plan to support the development of factory automation in North America. $1.01 / $12.88 / $0.06 billion products operating income in the product structure, respectively, is 10-30 billion yuan.
Since its establishment in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 1986, Fanuc America has provided CNC and robot technical support, sales, and service in North and South America. In 2019, the company completed North Campus in Auburn Hills, Michigan and built new offices in Mexico and Canada in 2023.
West Campus, which cost $101 million, was constructed on approximately 2.7 million square feet of land. It provides customized automation systems and warehouse space to supply more than 6,000 robots and maintenance components quickly.
As a result, Fanuc America's total land area in Michigan is approximately 1.9 million square feet, and it has created more than 400 jobs since 2019.
At the opening ceremony, Michael J. Chico, CEO of Fanuc America, stated that "these large expansions represent Fanuc America's growth strategy and commitment to factory automation and robotics in North America. While manufacturers in each industry continue to respond to changing market needs, Fanuc America can support customers more closely by providing solutions that utilize factory automation and cutting-edge robots. As a result, it contributes to the improvement of efficiency in all industries, and Fanuc America continues to grow."
Fanuc America has been accelerating investment in North America since 2019, with a total investment of $255 million, including the construction of North Campus, new offices in Mexico and Canada, and the upcoming Fanuc Academy. These will make its position as a pioneer in North America even stronger.
