Starting from July, Shimadzu Corporation will introduce digital certificates called 'Open Badges' to certify advanced national and in-house qualifications necessary for our company's growth. Visualization of owned qualifications and skills will support employees' learning motivation and career formation.
'Open Badges' are digital certificates of knowledge and skills. They are introduced by universities, qualification certification organizations, and businesses around the world as highly reliable certificates due to their difficulty in counterfeiting and alteration using blockchain technology. Badge holders can centrally manage them in their 'Open Badge Wallet' and publicly disclose their held qualifications and skills internally and externally through measures such as email signatures.
Our company will issue badges to holders of doctorates, technical qualifications (engineering, patent attorney, chief electrical engineer, etc.), and clerical qualifications (lawyers, certified public accountants, MBA, etc.), all of which fall under our medium-term management plan for 'highly specialized human resources.' Those recognized by the company as DX personnel through training are also eligible.
