Fisco Japan ·  Jul 12 03:10

On July 12, the TOPIX Growth Market 250 Index futures rose 21 points from the previous business day to 674 points. The high was 677 points, the low was 651 points, and the intraday trading volume was 11,718 shares. The Dow Jones Average continued to rise in the US market the previous day. Inflation slowdown progress was evidenced by the June Consumer Price Index (CPI), and it opened strong with rate cut expectations. The Dow Jones remained strong throughout the day due to the recovery of interest rate-sensitive real estate, among other things, but the NASDAQ softened throughout the day due to rotation and material exhaustion, with profit-taking sales leading the way from near its all-time high, and expanded its decline into the final stage. The market ended mixed. Today's TOPIX Growth Market 250 Index futures started at 653 points unchanged from the previous business day. Buyers gathered from the opening bell on the back of the decline in US interest rates and rotation, and the market remained strong throughout the day. With the emerging markets surging across the board, sellers bought back, and the futures market recovered to the 670-point range, its first time in about three months since mid-April. There was also a confluence of increased selective search due to the correlation between the Nikkei Average and the slowdown in the stock price index-linked ETF's earnings passage, among other things, and trading ended at 674 points today, in the high territory. In the TOPIX Growth Market's major stocks, FREE <4478> and GENDA <9166>, among others, rose.
