ACISA Brings Back Bollywood Greats and Popular Punjabi Artists at the Annual Vibrant Brampton SummerFest

Bollywood and Punjabi Stars like Raghav, Ragini Tandan, Avkash Mann and the legend Sukshinder Shinda are performing to Brampton's most loved music & dance festival VIBRANT BRAMPTON SUMMERFEST!

BRAMPTON, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brampton is all set to come alive to the sights and sounds of South Asian culture with Vibrant Brampton on July 26 and 27. Organized by the non-profit group Arts and Culture Initiative of South Asia (ACISA), the 9th annual Vibrant Brampton SummerFest presented by TD in association with WOW Mobile Boutique will bring a fun-filled outdoor family festival to the Chinguacousy Park in Brampton.



The two-day FREE outdoor festival is taking place at a new bigger location, Chinguacousy Park this year and will kick off with Bollywood Playback singer Ragini Tandan and her band from Mumbai India supported by several other local artists on July 26 promising to make you sway to the South Asian music and myriad performances. Ragini will sing her hit numbers including the blockbuster "Lamborghini Chalai Jaande Ho". Our home-grown music sensation Raghav will be the showstopper of the day with his hit numbers including the famed "Angel Eyes" and "Teri Baton Mein" which reached to dizzy heights with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon dancing on its tune in a Bollywood movie released recently under the same name.

The finale of the outdoor festival on July 27 promises to bring an eclectic mix of programming that will include high energy performances by blockbuster Punjabi artist from UK, Sukshinder Shinda, which will make the crowd dance and sing to several of his foot tapping numbers. A singer, producer and a songwriter, Sukshinder Shinda has produced many hit records over the last 3 decades including Bhangra, Punjabi and Bollywood movies. He has Collaborated with legendary artists from across the world. His list of hit songs is endless but some of the notables ones are "Sohni Lagdi" & "Munda Turban Wala".

For Punjabi music lovers, there's another feast – Punjabi Pop Heartthrob – Avkash Mann, son of legendary Harbhajan Mann. best known for his hit Solo track Star Jatt Di which garnered millions of views worldwide, will also co-headline on July 27.

For the first time in an outdoor festival in Canada, we have a KIDZ ZONE supported by Nintendo Canada – featuring interactive and immersive activities for youth and kids and the favorite Free Facepainting and Community arts projects on both days. To engage the whole family, the festival also offers free hands-on Bollywood & Bhangra dance workshops, a Food Bazaar with over 100 different dishes sold by local food vendors and restaurants a Shopping MEGAMART with local artisans selling clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, gifts are sure to make the shopping lovers happy and all with free entry & free parking.

In addition to Punjabi and Bollywood celebrities, some of this year's acts from 200+ Canadian artists include local Latino sensations "Paula Sofia" and "MC Sulek", "Parth Dani's renowned "Bollywood Dance School Canada", Mudra Canada Dhol Tasha", "Spandan Kala's Gujarati Garba" "Mudra Dance School" & "Shalom Xavier's" talented band of musicians to name a few.

The festival is presented by TD Bank in association with WOW Mobile Boutique supported by a host of sponsors including Lazeez Shawarma and Canadian Blood Services. 2024 funders include the City of Brampton, Experience Brampton, Canadian Heritage and Celebrate Ontario.
