International crude oil futures prices fell on Friday. WTI crude oil and Brent crude oil both recorded price declines this week, ending four consecutive weeks of gains.
The futures price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell by $0.41, or 0.50%, to close at $82.21 per barrel. Based on the most active contract, WTI crude oil fell 1.14% this week.
The futures price of Brent crude oil for September delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange Europe fell $0.37, or 0.43%, to close at $85.03 per barrel. Brent crude oil fell 1.74% this week.
