On June 2024, the transportation capacity of China Southern Airlines (600029.SH) increased by 12.47% YoY (measured by available seat kilometers), including YoY increases of 0.84%, 40.05%, 75.14% for domestic, regional, and international flights, respectively. The passenger turnover (measured by revenue passenger kilometers) increased by 17.97% YoY, including YoY increases of 6.86%, 42.39%, 75.81% for domestic, regional, and international flights, respectively. The passenger load factor was 83.36%, up 3.89 percentage points YoY, including YoY increases of 4.72, 1.29, and 0.32 percentage points for domestic, regional, and international flights, respectively.
In June 2024, the transportation capacity of cargo flights increased by 10.95% YoY (measured by available ton kilometers for cargo and mail), and the cargo and mail turnover (measured by revenue ton kilometers for cargo and mail) increased by 18.02% YoY. The cargo and mail load factor was 55.41%, up 3.32 percentage points YoY.
In June 2024, the Group retired three planes, including one A330-200, one B737-800, and one A320. As of the end of June 2024, the Group operated a total of 907 transport aircraft.
