The "Supply Chain Innovation Award" is an award that recognizes companies that have led the industry by optimizing the entire supply chain through collaboration between manufacturing, delivery, and sales in various fields, and creating new value to eliminate waste in the entire supply chain and contribute to the competitiveness of the industry and the rich life of the people. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and operated by the Manufacturing-Distribution-Sales Cooperation Conference ※1.

※1 Manufacturing-Distribution-Sales Cooperation Conference: A conference established in May 2011 with the aim of enhancing industrial competitiveness and contributing to a rich national life by developing a system that eliminates waste throughout the entire supply chain and creates new value through collaboration between manufacturers (manufacturing), intermediate distribution/wholesale (distribution), and retail (sales). The secretariat is managed by the General Foundation for Distribution System Development (GS1 Japan) and the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Institute of Distribution Economics.

The reason for this award is due to the efforts of 13 daily goods manufacturers (including our company) and 12 logistics companies collaborating to optimize and streamline the transportation and inventory of the entire supply chain using digital technology.

In the daily goods industry, several manufacturers have been working on optimizing and streamlining logistics by implementing joint logistics. In recent years, logistics reforms have been progressing significantly, such as achieving inspection-free and invoice-free work by utilizing Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs※2), which greatly reduces time.

The efforts of the 13 daily goods manufacturers (including our company) and 12 logistics companies to use digital technology to optimize transportation and inventory throughout the supply chain were recognized by winning the grand prize at the "Supply Chain Innovation Award 2024" held on July 12th.

※2 Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN): Pre-shipment information from the shipper to the consignee. It contains items such as the shipping origin code, destination code, order number, product code, and delivery quantity.

In the future, we will strengthen our cooperation with distribution companies, logistics companies, related organizations, and administrations through the "Daily Goods Supply Chain Conference," which includes daily goods manufacturers as members, and work to optimize and streamline the entire supply chain while ensuring stable logistics quality to contribute to solving social issues.
