Bursa Malaysia Ends Flat After Reaching Fresh High

Bursa Malaysia recovered from earlier losses to close nearly unchanged amidst a subdued broader market influenced by profit-taking following yesterday's attainment of a new three-year peak, according to an analyst.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) concluded at 1,633.81 by 5 pm, a marginal increase of 0.27 points from Wednesday's closing figure of 1,633.54.

Starting the session at 1,633.70, the benchmark index fluctuated between 1,627.93 and 1,634.24 throughout the trading day.

In broader market activity, decliners outnumbered advancers by 727 to 499, while 503 counters remained unchanged. Additionally, 719 counters did not see any trading activity, and trading in 16 other counters was suspended.
