Scholastic Sinks 20%+ to 22-Month Low After Children's Book Seller Posts Downbeat Fiscal Q4 Results

$Scholastic Corp (SCHL.US)$ fell more than 20% intraday Friday to a 22-month low after the children's book company posted weaker-than-expected fiscal Q4 results.

SCHL shed as much as 21.7% to a $28.64 session low -- its weakest price since September 2022.

Shares sank after Scholastic reported after the bell Thursday that earnings came in at $1.73 per share for the three months ended May 31. That missed the analyst consensus estimate of $2.66 per share.
