According to the announcement, Sunny Optical Technology (02382) expects to obtain a company shareholder’s share of profit after tax ranging from RMB 1.048 billion to RMB 1.092 billion for the six months ending on June 30, 2024, an increase of about 140% to 150% compared to the RMB 0.437 billion for the six months ending on June 30, 2023.
According to the announcement, the expected increase in profit is mainly due to the recovery of the smart phone market, the improvement of product mix, the annual increase in the shipment volume and the average selling price of mobile phone lenses and camera modules, and the increase in gross margin.
