Boeing said it expects to increase production of its 737 jet in the second half of this year.
Stephanie Pope, COO of Boeing (BA.US), said the company expects to increase production of its 737 jet in the second half of this year, according to the Finance Information app.
Pope added that the company is driving "change" based on feedback from customers, regulators and employees.
The head of Boeing's commercial aircraft business said the company is increasing production capacity at the Boeing 737 factory, which will significantly increase production rates of its best-selling aircraft.
This year, a metal panel on an Alaska Air 737 Max 9 plane exploded, and Boeing faced stricter scrutiny from aviation authorities and customers. The FAA has limited production of 737 planes until it is convinced the company has taken measures to address safety issues.
Pope said the company has a plan to turn losses into gains, including safety and quality plans, stable factories, and a commitment to company culture.
