On July 22nd, Guolonghui reported that on July 19th, 2024, the technological achievement of Satellite Chemical's "Green new process for the selective preparation of high-purity 1-butene by ethylene high-selectivity dimerization" has successfully passed the achievement evaluation conference organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in Beijing. The evaluation committee, composed of seven experts including Han Buxing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and researcher of the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Zhang Liqun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, evaluated the high-purity 1-butene technology developed by Satellite Chemical.
The evaluation committee believes that Satellite Chemical has achieved multiple innovative results in catalysts and promoters, reactor design, online descaling and catalyst deactivation, with strong innovation; The product produced by the pilot-scale high-purity 1-butene equipment of thousands of tons has been used by many users with high product purity, especially suitable for the production of linear low-density polyethylene, metallocene low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, and polyolefin elastomers; The products produced have been used in the production of high-density polyethylene and polyolefin elastomers by Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which perform equally to imported 1-butene raw materials, and can replace imported raw materials. The achievements of the project as a whole have reached the international advanced level in catalyst system design, which has reached the international leading level. The evaluation was unanimously passed.
