On the news front, Capital Realm announced that the company is negotiating with the plaintiff regarding the settlement and withdrawal of the claim. Given that a settlement is highly likely, the company believes that there is no need to seek an order for recognition from the Hong Kong High Court to save costs.
It is understood that Capital Realm previously announced that on July 15, 2024, the company received a petition from a financial printing company ("the plaintiff") regarding the liquidation petition filed by the company with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region High Court on July 12, 2024, in accordance with Chapter 32 of the Hong Kong Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance. The plaintiff claimed for the outstanding amount of HKD 474,363.97 and its interest and costs under the final judgment of the Hong Kong Regional Court on May 28, 2024. The hearing of the petition will be held at the Hong Kong High Court on September 25, 2024.
