Toyota L&F has launched the first service in the country that uses Fujitsu's AI to evaluate the safe driving of forklift trucks on the cloud. Product structure, 10-30 billion yuan products operating income of 401/1288/60 million yuan respectively. This service analyzes the movements of forklift trucks and operators on the cloud using AI, combining the logistics know-how of Toyota L&F with the AI service "Fujitsu Kozuchi" of Fujitsu's "Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS" service, and evaluates safe driving, making this the first service of its kind in the country*. This service is available through a subscription-based service package called "FORKLORE" that uses IoT and cloud technology to help customers improve their logistics operations. The Forklift is often used in places where people and objects are constantly on the move, such as factories and logistics warehouses, and operators are expected to operate them safely. In recent years, as part of safety education, customers have been using forklift drive recorders to evaluate the safe driving of operators, but the huge amount of time required to confirm the recorded video and the variation in the evaluations has been a challenge. "Driving Video AI Analysis" is a service that supports safety education by automating the detection of unsafe operator behavior and efficiently evaluating safe driving through "Fujitsu Kozuchi", thus equalizing the variation in evaluations. AI, which has learned about turning and running of forklift trucks, forklift movements, and safety checks by operators, analyzes the drive recorder video on the cloud and automatically detects unsafe operator actions, such as "simultaneous operation of driving and loading/unloading," "poor pointing of fingers while backing up," "failure to stop when switching between forward and backward driving," and "sharp turns." Unsafe actions detected are displayed by extracting only those parts, and each operator's safe driving is displayed as a performance table. With "Driving Video AI Analysis", it is expected that the confirmation time of video will be reduced and the safety awareness of operators will be improved. As the leading forklift manufacturer, Toyota L&F has not only developed and marketed products but has also been working actively on the utilization of data. In 2021, it released a service package called "FORKLORE" that connects various equipment used in logistics site to the Internet and collects, stores, and analyzes data on operational status and usage, and supports customers' site improvement. Currently, we offer "Drive Recorder Connect," which allows you to view forklift operating conditions and recorded images on the web based on data from drive recorders, and "Battery Connect," which visualizes the usage status of lithium-ion batteries for forklifts, as services of "FORKLORE." We will continue to develop services that meet customer needs and expand "FORKLORE," contributing to the realization of a safer and more comfortable logistics site.
