Align Technology Inc (NASDAQ:ALGN) shares are trading lower in Wednesday's after-hours session after the company reported second-quarter financial results and issued soft guidance.

Total revenue was up 2.6% on a year-over-year basis after being unfavorably impacted by foreign exchange of approximately $11.6 million or 1.1%.
