Jaks To Lease Land In Terengganu For LSS5 Project

JAKS Resources Berhad announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TDM-YT Plantation Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TDM Berhad to lease of lands in Terengganu for the development of solar photovoltaic ("PV") plant under the Energy Commission's fifth Large Scale Solar programme.

Chief Executive Director Andy Ang Lam Poah said, "We are pleased to announce our collaboration with TDM-YT Plantation in the renewable energy sector. This MOU enables JAKS to secure a land lease agreement, which is essential for our LSS5 submission. Our partnership with China Power Engineering Consulting Group International Engineering Co. Ltd. has the potential to increase renewable energy capacity in the state of Terengganu and brings benefits to the local community. Leveraging our robust capabilities and strong track record in renewable energy projects, we are confident in the success of this initiative."
