Gelonghui, July 25, 丨 Wutong International (00613.HK) announced that the company expects to record an unaudited comprehensive loss before tax of approximately HK$51,100,000 for the six months ended June 30, 2024, while an unaudited comprehensive loss before tax was recorded in the same period last year of approximately HK$30,500,000.
The Board considers that the loss during this period was mainly due to a combination of the following factors: (i) the net unrealized fair value loss of approximately HK$19,300,000 on financial assets included in the income statement at fair value; and (ii) losses attributable to associated companies of approximately HK$46,400,000. In addition to the unaudited comprehensive loss before tax of approximately HK$51,100,000 as described above, the Group also expects to record an additional overall loss of approximately HK$66,300,000 during the period due to changes in the fair value of equity investments measured by fair value in other comprehensive income statements.
