HB Global Limited, listed on the Main Market, has announced the appointment of Kebawah Kaus Yang Teramat Mulia Dato' Undang Luak Johol, Dato' Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Setiawan Dato' Muhammad ("Y.T.M Dato' Muhammad") as the new Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In addition to Dato' Muhammad, Chin Nyat Fwu and Elizabbeth Siew have also joined the Board as Independent Non-Executive Directors. Their appointments are expected to bring valuable experience and diversity to the Board, enhancing its overall strength.
Dato' Muhammad, who serves as the Undang Luak Johol, is responsible for overseeing customary affairs, land management, and traditional ceremonies within the Luak Johol community in Negeri Sembilan. He brings a diverse perspective with his extensive background in the education and financial services industries. His leadership skills have been demonstrated through his roles as Director and Chairman in various companies. Additionally, Y.T.M. Dato' Muhammad is a prominent public servant and founder of Yayasan Undang Johol, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people in Luak Johol. He is involved in several social welfare initiatives and holds a Diploma in Business (Insurance Business Management) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

Chin, the newly appointed Independent Director, boasts over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, business accounting, and taxation. He is currently the Senior General Manager at Selangor Holdings Sdn. Bhd., a position he has held since 2014. Before this, he served as a Financial Controller at a prominent hotel in Sydney, Australia, and held various roles within the Hong Leong Group for 11 years. Chin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma in Business Systems from Monash University, Clayton, Australia, and is a Chartered Accountant with CPA Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Elizabbeth Siew brings two decades of legal experience, specialising in commercial and property law. She previously served as Managing Partner at Messrs. Iqbal Hakim, Sia & Voo for 19 years and is currently a Partner at Messrs. Gan & Zul. She advises foreign corporations on establishing businesses in Malaysia and provides counsel on a range of legal matters including property transactions, joint ventures, and regulatory issues. Ms. Elizabbeth has authored two books, "Smart Property Investors Know The Law" and "Smart Property Investors Know The Law in Creative Investment," and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an Honours degree in Law from the University of London, along with a Certificate in Legal Practice.
