Fisco Japan ·  Aug 1 23:43

The number of gains and falls of the Nikkei Average constituent stocks at the time of closing 2 days ago was 7 stocks with price increases, 218 stocks with price drops, and 0 stocks unchanged.

The Nikkei Average continued to drop drastically. The forward transaction was closed at 36261.85 yen (estimated volume 1.5 billion 40 million shares), which was 1864.48 yen lower (-4.89%) compared to the previous day.

The US stock market fell sharply on the 1st. The Dow average closed at 40347.97 dollars (-1.21%) depreciated by 494.82 dollars (-1.21%), the Nasdaq closed at 17194.14, 405.26 points lower (-2.30%), and the S&P 500 closed at 5446.68, which depreciated 75.62 points (-1.37%). Purchases in response to expectations of interest rate cuts continued, and after getting close, they rose. After that, the number of unemployment insurance claims reached a high level for the first time in 1 year, and sales that were wary of rapid economic deterioration accelerated, such as an unexpected decline in the ISM manufacturing business climate index, and the market price began to decline. The sense of caution ahead of financial results for major high-tech companies also weighed in, and the market price remained soft throughout the day, and the decline widened until the end of the game and ended.

In response to the decline in US stocks and the appreciation of the yen in exchange rates, etc., the Tokyo market began trading with a selling advantage. Since the Philadelphia Semiconductor Stock Index (SOX Index) fell drastically by over 7% compared to the previous day, semiconductor stocks fell sharply, and the Nikkei Average fell to the 37,000 yen level at once. It became a point where sales invited sales, and there were scenes where the decline in the Nikkei Average exceeded 2000 yen at one point. The trading price of the previous prime market was 3.3 trillion yen, and sales swelled, and it became a completely depreciation point where 97% fell.

Among stocks adopted by the Nikkei Average, the deterioration in stock market conditions was disgusting, and stock stocks such as Daiwa Securities Group headquarters <8601> and Nomura Holdings <8604> fell sharply, and semiconductor stocks such as Screen HD <7735>, Tokyo Electron <8035>, Socionext <6526>, SUMCO <3436>, Lasertech <6920>, and Advantest <6857> also plummeted. In addition, a wide range of brands were sold, such as Isetan Mitsukoshi (3099), Mitsui & Co. (8031), Ebara (6361), Mitsui Chemicals (4183), Japan Steel Works (5631), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (7011), Mitsubishi UFJ (8306), and Hitachi (6501)).

Meanwhile, due to strong sales in the Australian market, etc., Nippon Ham <2282>, which had a drastic increase in profit above expectations in the first quarter financial results, went backwards, and the Konami Group <9766>, Sumitomo Electric <5802>, and Nippon Steel <5401> were also bought due to strong performance. In addition, Astellas Pharma (4503), Kyowa Kirin (4151), and Tokyo Gas (9531) have risen. Note, these are the only 7 stocks that have risen among the stocks adopted by the Nikkei Average.

While all industries were sold, the decline in the securities and commodity futures trading business, insurance industry, banking industry, electrical equipment, and mining industry was conspicuous.

The top contributor to price drops became ToElec <8035>, which pushed down the Nikkei Average by about 343 yen with 1 stock. Advantest <6857> came in the same 2nd place, followed by SoftBank G (9984), TDK (6762), Shin-Etsu (4063), Fast Rite (9983), Recruit HD (6098), etc.

Meanwhile, the top contributor to price increases became Konami G (9766), which boosted the Nikkei Average by about 21 yen with 1 stock. Nichi-Ham (2282) came in second place, followed by Astellas Pharma (4503), Sumitomo Electric Industries (5802), Kyowa Kirin (4151), Tokyo Gas (9531), Nippon Steel (5401), etc.
