楽天、「地域エンパワーメントアワード」を新設し、 商業(Eコマース)・観光・ふるさと納税の3部門における2024年の受賞自治体を発表

August 2, 2024. Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd. (CEO and President: Hiroyasu Koike, "Nomura Asset Management") and Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Kentaro Okuda, "Nomura Securities") will offer the Nomura Japan New Rising Stock Fund, a public investment trust that invests in cross-over investments through its operations, including investment in unlisted stocks from the start-up period to just before listing. It is the first public investment trust investing in Japanese stocks in Japan that includes investment in unlisted stocks, jointly developed by Nomura Asset Management and Jafco Group Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Keisuke Miyoshi, "Jafco"). Nomura Securities will launch the fund initially on August 22, 2024.

Rakuten Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten") has established the "Regional Empowerment Award" (hereinafter referred to as the "Award") for regional revitalization projects and today announced the winning municipalities for 2024 in three categories: commerce (e-commerce), tourism, and furusato tax.

This award focuses on the "related population" (note 1), which is an important approach from the perspectives of regional revitalization and creating regional fans, and aims to commend municipalities to further create and expand related populations throughout Japan. Based on Rakuten's marketing data (note 2), this award calculated, as a relative index, how much a resident is connected to people outside the area in each of the 47 prefectures and commends municipalities with high indices in the three categories of commerce (e-commerce), tourism, and furusato tax. As a result, Fukui prefecture won the GOLD award in the commerce (e-commerce) category, Okinawa prefecture won in the tourism category, and Saga prefecture won in the furusato tax category. Other award-winning municipalities in each category are as follows.
