CNT GROUP (00701.HK) announced on August 2 that the shareholders' loss for the six-month period ending in 2024 is expected to be between HK$14 million and HK$17 million, while the shareholders' loss for the six-month period ending on June 30, 2023 was HK$3.3 million.
The estimated shareholders' loss for the six-month period in 2024 has increased mainly because the investment properties of the group in Hong Kong and mainland China recorded a substantial fair value loss net amount on June 30, 2024, while recording a fair value gain net amount of approximately HK$12.8 million on June 30, 2023.
Despite the above information, as the fair value loss net amount is of a non-cash nature, it has no impact on the group's operating cash flow. The overall financial position of the group remains stable.
