According to the app of Zhitong Finance, GDS Holdings-SW(09698) rose more than 10% in early trading, up 8.8% to HKD 10.88 with a turnover of HKD 15.4086 million as of press time.

On the news front, in July, GDS Holdings officially opened and went into operation at the NTP Campus 2 data center park in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia. This became the first data center that supports large-scale AI computing power deployment in the local region. Previously, CICC pointed out that the Group's overseas demand is strong, and its full-year capital expenditure plan is CNY 4 billion. The tilt of capital expenditure adapts to different strategies of the company's domestic and overseas pushes; at the same time, overseas financing brings sufficient funding support to the independent operation of international business.

Huaxi Securities pointed out that due to the impact of downstream Internet customers, Capex, and industry investment cycles, the data center industry has experienced a bottoming phase of about three years. With the increase in demand for AI intelligent computing power and the emphasis of operators and Internet Capex on intelligent computing centers, as well as the promotion of national policies to strengthen the clustering layout of computing power, large and super-large computing power hub nodes’ data centers are expected to accelerate construction and integration. Related benefitting companies include GDS Holdings and others.
