Virtual bank Mox announced that Mox Invest's customers can invest in cryptocurrency ETFs that can be offered to Hong Kong retail clients under Hong Kong regulatory regime, including cryptocurrency spot and futures ETFs listed in Hong Kong and cryptocurrency futures ETFs listed in the United States.
According to the Wisdom Financial app, virtual bank Mox announced that Mox Invest's customers can invest in cryptocurrency ETFs that can be offered to Hong Kong retail clients under Hong Kong regulatory regime, including cryptocurrency spot and futures ETFs listed in Hong Kong and cryptocurrency futures ETFs listed in the United States. Mox stated that the related assets of the above-mentioned cryptocurrency spot and futures ETFs include bitcoin and ethereum.
Mox stated that the service will be launched today and that customers can invest in the cryptocurrency market without opening and managing complex personal cryptocurrency wallets. This also makes the bank the first virtual bank in Hong Kong to offer cryptocurrency-related investment products.
It is reported that Mox opened in Hong Kong in September 2020 and is a virtual bank established by Standard Chartered Bank (02888), along with Hong Kong Telecommunications (06823), PCCW (00008), and Trip.com. A virtual bank refers to a bank that mainly provides retail banking services through the Internet or other forms of electronic transmission channels rather than physical branches.
