On the news side, Xpeng delivered 11,145 new cars in July, an increase of 1% year-on-year and 4% month-on-month, gradually widening the gap with the new forces of the car-making industry. As of July 31, Xpeng has delivered a total of 63,173 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 20%, achieving only 23% of its annual delivery target.
Bank of America Securities lowered its sales forecast for Xpeng for the next two years by 12% and 7%, respectively, and lowered its price target from HK $49.5 to HK $45.6. The bank expects Xpeng's sales to benefit from the launch of new models and the launch of redesigned G6 and G9 models in the first half of the year, with improvement expected from the second half of the year.
