Boyaa (00434.HK) announced on August 7th that the group's revenue for the six months ending on June 30, 2024 is expected to increase by about 8% to 12% compared to the same period in the previous year (about RMB 19.43 million in the previous year), mainly due to (i) the holding of certain online operation activities by the group and the continuous optimization of game products and gameplay, which resulted in an increase in the group's online game revenue; and (ii) the increase in the fair value of the cryptos held by the group's assets.
The profit attributable to shareholders of the company during the period is expected to increase by about 400% to 420% compared to the same period last year (about RMB 5.56 million in the previous year), mainly due to (i) an increase in revenue during the period compared to the same period in 2023; (ii) an increase in the fair value of cryptos held by the group during the period compared to the purchase cost; and (iii) a smaller decrease in the fair value of financial assets such as private equity investment partnership enterprises during the period compared to the same period in 2023.
Excluding the impact of non-operating one-time factors such as changes in the fair value of digital assets and financial assets such as private equity investment partnership enterprises, the profit attributable to shareholders of the company during the period is expected to increase by about 1% to 5% compared to the same period in 2023, mainly due to an expected increase in revenue compared to the same period in 2023.
