Have Insiders Sold Simpson Manufacturing Shares Recently?

Simply Wall St ·  Aug 8 06:40

We wouldn't blame Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. (NYSE:SSD) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that Roger Dankel, the Executive Vice President of North American Sales - Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc recently netted about US$514k selling shares at an average price of US$190. That's a big disposal, and it decreased their holding size by 11%, which is notable but not too bad.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Simpson Manufacturing

Notably, that recent sale by Roger Dankel is the biggest insider sale of Simpson Manufacturing shares that we've seen in the last year. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$174. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).
