Cryptos rebounded from massive sell-offs earlier this week, with Bitcoin returning to above 0.06 million USD on Thursday night.

According to Coin Metrics data, Bitcoin prices have recently risen 11%, reaching 61,232.36 USD, surpassing the support level of 55,000 USD for most of this year.

Ethereum rose 12% to 2644.90 USD.

The stock price of Coinbase, the largest cryptos exchange in the United States, rose 7.5% on Thursday, and the stock price of Bitcoin "whale" MicroStrategy rose 9%. Both company's stocks continued to rise in after-hours trading.

After a big drop on Monday, the market is trying to find a foothold. The yen arbitrage trade and de-leveraging of the market, as well as market sell-offs due to concerns about US recession, caused Bitcoin to fall below 0.05 million USD earlier this week. The trading price of Bitcoin approached 0.07 million USD the previous week. However, after the weak July employment report, concerns began to emerge.

"Macro factors will dominate in the next one or two months," said Ryan Rasmussen, analyst at Bitwise Asset Management. "From the increasingly tense situation in the Middle East to the collapse of the yen carry trade, to concerns about US economic recession, everyone is worried about it, and when the next shoe will drop."

August has long been considered a volatile month for cryptos trading. Rasmussen said that before these concerns subsided, most institutional investors would probably focus on their stock portfolios rather than the 1% to 5% they allocate to cryptos.

"Multiple forces and reactions are causing lateral rebounds in the crypto market," said Chris Kline, co-founder and COO of BitcoinIRA. "The crypto market continues to be unsettled mainly because investors are watching to see if the Fed will cut interest rates and whether the recent adjustment is temporary or caused more concerns."

Bitcoin prices have risen nearly 44% so far this year.
