(Gulaqi, 27th) After the news that the Melbourne Women and Children's Specialist Hospital will be built in Gulaqi, the people of Gulaqi may welcome the second private hospital, the Botrela Specialist Hospital.

Democratic Action Party Member of Parliament for Gulaqi Zhang Nianqun revealed that Botrela Specialist Hospital has signed a cooperation agreement with IOI Properties to build a private hospital in Gulaqi's Prince City.

Furthermore, she revealed that Botrela Specialist Hospital has submitted an application to the Ministry of Health and is now waiting for approval from the Ministry of Health.

Zhang Nianqun, who is also the Deputy Minister of Communications, responded to media inquiries when he attended the opening ceremony of the action service counter and inspection of leisure parks in the Shaling New Village this morning. Attendees included the party's Shinai state MP Huang Boyang and Gulaqi County New Village Development Officer Chen Junjie.

In addition, she also revealed that the second Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA 2) is likely to be located in the Shigu area, and the nearby residents of Gulaqi will also benefit.

According to Zhang Nianqun's understanding, the Gulaqi constituency has a population of more than 0.3 million, so she hopes that private hospitals can be put into operation as soon as possible, so that Gulaqi residents can seek treatment services at Gulaqi's private hospital without having to go to Johor Bahru.

She said that the Gulaqi government hospital also faces a shortage of hospital beds and hopes that hospitals can be further improved.

Zhang Nianqun said that as a member of parliament for Gulaqi, she is always concerned about medical and health services in the area. From 2018 to now, she has allocated a total of 610,5532.40 ringgit to improve medical facilities in Gulaqi hospitals and clinics.

According to her understanding, the Gulaqi government hospital received a grant of 390,3841 ringgit. Since 2019, it has been used to purchase two blood dialysis machines, improve parking lots, library toilets, non-medical staff lockers, electric beds and air-conditioning systems, etc.

"The remaining 220,1691.40 ringgit is allocated through the Gulaqi County Health Bureau for the repair and improvement of Gulaqi district government clinics since 2018, and the purchase of maternal and child ultrasound equipment, etc."
