The US stock market continues to grow. The Dow average closed at 39,497.54 dollars, which rose 51.05 dollars, and the Nasdaq closed at 16,745.30, which rose 85.28 points.

After anxiety about the recession smoldered, it declined. After that, President Birkin of the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank, who has the right to vote in the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) this year, stated that “there is time to judge the economy,” and buybacks intensified as the pessimistic view of economic deceleration went too far and investor sentiment improved, and it began to rise. Boston Federal Reserve President Collins pointed out that if inflation slows down in a strong labor market, it is possible to cut interest rates, and high-tech also recovered to the positive zone. Even towards the end of the market, buybacks continued and ended ahead of the announcement of important inflation indicators next week. By sector, transportation declined while technology, hardware, and equipment rose.

Sweet Green (SG), which operates a salad restaurant chain, revised its full-year forecast upward in quarterly financial results and rose. The adjusted earnings per share of the media Paramount Global (PARA) exceeded expectations in quarterly financial results and rose. Video game manufacturer Take2 Interactive Software (TTWO) also had quarterly financial results, and earnings per share exceeded expectations and rose. Meanwhile, sales of cosmetics manufacturer e.l.f. Beauty (ELF) exceeded expectations due to quarterly financial results, but profit forecasts did not reach expectations and declined. Network equipment manufacturer Cisco Systems (CSCO) declined when an employee reduction plan, which will be the second phase of this year, was reported.

The VIX Index, which shows investors' fears, fell to the level of 20.26 last weekend.
