AmBank Achieves ISO 45001:2018 Certification, Sets Record For Workplace Safety

AmBank Group has made history as the first banking institution in Malaysia to earn the ISO 45001:2018 certification, securing a place in the Malaysia Book of Records. This milestone highlights the bank's dedication to maintaining high standards in workplace health and safety management.

Jamie Ling, Group Chief Executive Officer of AmBank Group, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, "We are honoured to be recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records. This certification reflects our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our workforce and our proactive approach to ensuring a safe and conducive workplace. It also demonstrates our ongoing efforts to uphold the highest standards of occupational health and safety while enhancing our operational efficiency."

The ISO 45001:2018 certification is an international standard for occupational health and safety management. It provides a robust framework for organisations to systematically evaluate hazards and implement risk control measures, aiming to reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents.
